Registered Nurse RN PreOp PACU Banner Health – Phoenix, Arizona

$10,000 for experienced external PACU RNs.

Position Overview: As the

Pre‑Op PACU RN , you will plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement nursing care services for pre‑op and post‑surgical patients in alignment with Banner Health’s mission. You will serve in both the pre‑op holding area and the post‑anesthesia care unit (PACU).

Shift Details

Shift: Night (1800–0630)

Hours per Week: 3–12 s | 36 hours

Schedule: Varied, Sunday–Saturday

Differential: 18% night differential; flat rate $3/hour weekend differential

Employment Type: Full‑time

Core Functions

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.

Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and multidisciplinary input.

Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team.

Evaluate patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.

Provide evidence‑based care and participate in unit leadership activities.

Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and education of staff and patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid RN license in the state of practice; temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure acceptable.

BLS certification required.

Experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting within the past 12 months.

Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting for Banner Registry and Travel positions.

Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Professional certification preferred.
