Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Days - 8am-5pm
The Administrative Director of Human Resources (HR) is a senior-level leader responsible for assisting the Assistant Administrator of HR in oversight of the Human Resources department. Serves as the right-hand partner to the Assistant Administrator and acts as a key advisor on Human Resources strategy, compliance, and operations. The role requires a seasoned professional with comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and proven experience managing a full HR team. The Administrative Director assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Administrator.
Work Experience Five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least five years in a leadership role managing a full HR department. Demonstrated expertise in all HR functional areas: employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, compliance, and performance management.
License/Registration/Certification Human Resources certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
Education and Training Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
Skills Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Extensive knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures, including laws, regulations and standards. Ability to strategize, plan, organize, develop and implement complex, highly integrated Human Resources program goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Very high level of oral, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to analyze and apply judgment in resolving complex problems. Ability to identify key issues and relationships, underlying problems or trends; ability to define decision criteria and evaluate alternatives; ability to commit to appropriate action. Ability to demonstrate personal leadership, use appropriate interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and guide individuals toward goal achievement. Demonstrated strategic leadership, leads through vision and values; translates vision into organizational goals; aligns Human Resources systems with organization’s vision and values to bring about desired organizational change. Strong personal mission, with a demonstrated operating philosophy of Human Resources that supports Hospital District’s mission, vision and values.
