AtAbility Matters, our Education team partners with schools and families to design personalized, inclusive educational programs for students with disabilities. As a Licensed Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher, you will lead educational programming while supervising and supporting a team of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to ensure high-quality, student-centered instruction.
This role is more than teaching. It is about leadership, advocacy, and creating meaningful outcomes for students and their families.

What You'll Do
Lead and Support Educational Staff:
Supervise and mentor Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to maintain consistent, effective programming.
Design and Monitor Individualized Education Programs:
Develop, implement, and oversee IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Provide Targeted Instruction:
Deliver direct instruction aligned with student needs and individualized goals.
Use Data to Drive Instruction:
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on student progress and assessment data.
Collaborate with Families and Partners:
Maintain strong communication with school districts, service providers, and families.
Support Student Transitions:
Assist with assessments, onboarding, and transitions to adult services when applicable.
Participate in Team Leadership:
Contribute to meetings, training, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure:
Valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist License.
Experience:
At least 3 years supporting K–12 students and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organization, instructional planning, and communication skills.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Vision, leadership, and commitment to inclusion matter most.
