Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), part of Rutgers University—New Brunswick, is a leading academic health center that integrates education, clinical care, and research. The Anesthesiology Department of the New Jersey Medical School invites applications for a Visiting Researcher (Scholar) focused on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neuropathic pain and neurodegeneration, with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease. Responsibilities

Design and perform experiments related to cellular and molecular pain development, analyze data, write manuscripts, and present results. Develop standards, methodologies, and instrumentation for molecular biological experiments. Train clinical fellows and students. Assist in grant writing. Understand and adhere to Rutgers’ compliance standards as outlined in the RBHS Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience with memory/neurodegeneration studies. Proficiency in general clinical cell biology laboratory techniques. Salary and Benefits

The position has a budgeted maximum salary of $40,000, with total compensation potentially up to $250,000 based on qualifications, experience, and available grant funds.
