Assistant Directorof Housing
to help lead and strengthen our residential services forindividuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. About the Role The Assistant Director of Housing plays a criticalleadership role in supporting the strategic, operational, and regulatoryoversight of our housing programs. This position partners closely with theDirector of Housing to ensure high-quality services, strong staff performance,regulatory compliance, and person-centered outcomes for the individuals wesupport. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-pacedenvironment, enjoys mentoring managers, and is committed to continuousimprovement. Key Responsibilities Supportthe oversight and daily operations of housing and residential programs Provideleadership, coaching, and performance management to Housing Managers andsupervisory staff Ensurecompliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and AbilityMatters policies Assistwith program development, quality assurance initiatives, and correctiveaction planning Collaboratewith Scheduling, HR, Finance, and Clinical teams to ensure staffingstability and service continuity Participatein on-call rotation and support crisis management as needed Monitorbudgets, staffing patterns, and operational metrics to support fiscalresponsibility Promotea culture of inclusion, accountability, and person-centered care What We’re Looking For Bachelor’sdegree in Human Services, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or arelated field (Master’s preferred) 3–5years of progressive leadership experience in residential or housingservices, preferably in the developmental disabilities field Strongknowledge of regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and programoperations Provenability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams Excellentcommunication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Commitmentto Ability Matters’ mission and values Ability Matters is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
