Job Title: Quality Manager

Quality Manager
and develop your skills in quality management while collaborating across departments to achieve an integrated work environment. We are designers and manufacturers of state-of-the-art microchannel heat exchangers. Essential Job Duties: Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and inspection of fabrication operations for heat exchangers in Sacramento, California. Implement and manage the company Quality Management System (QMS), overseeing QA and QC as opportunities for improvement are identified. Lead, motivate, mentor, and evaluate the Quality and Inspection Departments to develop skills in inspection techniques, report writing, NC processing, and root cause analysis. Conduct Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and serve on the MRB to determine root causes and resolve nonconformances. Qualify supplier and subcontractor quality systems. Manage third-party inspection subcontractors. Drive continuous improvement efforts in ISO 9001 implementation, ensuring compliance with ASME, PED, CRN, and other customer/regulatory requirements. Oversee document control and develop product quality dossiers. Collaborate with Production Management to implement quality objectives, including dimensional and visual inspections and testing requirements such as penetrant, helium leak, and hydro testing. Represent the organization during customer, third-party, and registrar audits and coordinate responses to audit findings. Maintain and develop ASME “U” stamps and NBIC “R” stamp certifications. Oversee welding and NDT procedures, including welder qualifications and record maintenance. Serve as the company’s quality representative to ASME, AWS, NBI, and other regulatory agencies. Conduct welder training, qualifications, and internal quality inspections. Assist other departments with QMS compliance training. Required Experience: Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems. Proficiency in writing procedures and work instructions. Strong metrology skills and proficiency with precision measuring tools. Effective presentation skills for internal and external audiences. Leadership and motivational abilities. SCWI or CWI Level II certification. At least 3 years of experience in a CWI or similar role. Engineering degree or equivalent experience in welding/manufacturing disciplines. In-depth knowledge of PT, VT, and UT inspections. Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and welding/machining standards. Strong background in welding processes and manufacturing practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA software. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Desired Experience: Experience in welding qualifications, including PQR, WPQ, and WPS. Experience with NDE qualifications such as Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, and Visual Testing. Knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead during challenging situations. Capability to work independently and build quality systems from scratch. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications and experience. Minimum of five years’ experience in a Quality Department within an industrial manufacturing environment.
