Position Summary
The Stockroom Clerk issues hardware and consumables, issues and receives tools, picks and stages parts using correct procedures and policies. Work can be performed within a hangar’s satellite stockroom location or within the central distribution center. Performs routine systematic tasks integrated within Flightstar’s operating system, in accordance with standard operating procedures. Job Details
FLSA: Non-Exempt Department: Materials Job Title: Stockroom Clerk Reports To: Materials Supervisor Dot/Non-Dot: NON-DOT Shift: 1st Shift, 7am-3:30pm Job Duties And Responsibilities
Issues hardware, tools, and consumables using correct procedures and policies. Receives and inspects tooling after each use. Scan parts and stages to locations within the satellite or distribution center. Perform inventory look up and track parts/tools for speedy issuance. Moves parts/tools in transit bins for Drivers to distribute to end users within the hangars across the campus. Monitors the shelf life of dated material to ensure serviceability and compliance with FAA guidelines. Provides coverage at the satellite stockroom window and the appropriate quantity of consumables required are available on a daily basis. Receives serviceable parts from aircraft into the Flightstar inventory, using correct procedures and policies. Ensures the security of the stock areas and the inventory therein are controlled as defined by company policy and practices. Picks up and delivers parts on a timely and accurate basis as required, ensuring the security of the parts through the use of correct company policies and procedures. Performs tasks as necessary to assist in keeping the satellite stockroom clean, neat, and organized. Lifts and carries tools and work materials up to 50lbs, and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping or reaching overhead. Follows safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed. Ensures the DC is maintained in a clean, neat, and organized manner. Academic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Languages:
English Proficiency Required, Spanish Language Preferred. Special Licenses:
Driver's License. Previous Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment or relatable position such as stockroom, shipping, and/or receiving clerk. Minimum one (10) year of experience operating warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts and scissor lifts. Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of computer software application usage. Required Skills:
High sense of urgency and efficiency, detail oriented, multi-tasking and internal customer soft skills are necessary to perform in the position. Seniority Level
