Solis Mammography | Washington Radiology is currently hiring for Travel Mammography Techs at various centers in District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. Get the benefit of being a travel Mammographer while working for one company! Assignments would be 12 weeks with the option to extend. Multiple locations available with similar operating procedures and training. Assistance with applying for licensure in the state you would be working in is available. Housing, living stipend, and relocation assistance are provided. The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique is essential. This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the organization’s profitability and patient experience. Skills/Qualifications

Understands, promotes, and demonstrates the Solis Way. Practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique. Can read, write, and understand medical terminology; can effectively communicate procedures and educate women about the importance of regular mammography in breast health. Maintains a patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills, communicating effectively with doctors, patients, and staff. Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS is preferred. Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred. Prior quality control experience is preferred. Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography. ARRT advanced certification in mammography with clinical experience documentation or MQSA qualified and registry eligible. Current continuing education as required by MQSA and ARRT. Non-restricted licensure in the state of work. Ability to stand for long periods. Additional Details
