What this job involves JLL is seeking a National Facilities Lead to oversee integrated facilities management (IFM) operations across a multi-site portfolio in North America. This role drives operational excellence, client satisfaction, and financial performance while leveraging JLL's global platform and service capabilities. The National Facilities Lead is responsible for managing the assigned sites within the account owned and/or occupied portfolio in accordance with local, state and federal requirements. The position will be responsible for all line of business and third party relationships with the assigned buildings and will also manage a team of Facility Management professionals. The National Facilities Lead will have a client-focused mindset with a proven track record of relationship management, ability to work collaboratively across JLL service lines, strong business acumen and adaptability.
What your day-to-day will look like
Manage day‑to‑day facilities operations for assigned regional portfolio encompassing office, industrial or mixed‑use properties.
Serve as primary facilities contact for assigned corporate clients, maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for additional JLL services. Conduct regular client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions. Support business development efforts through client referrals and portfolio expansion.
Manage the performance and outcomes of assigned staff reporting to the position.
Maintain interface with third party owners (Landlords), ensuring total contract (Lease) compliance, accurate and timely reporting, and resolve critical impact tenant relations issues.
Provide overall facility services in accordance with accounts’ standard processes and procedures including application of policies and programs, coordination of information.
Ensure compliance with portfolio‑wide initiatives and required local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities entrusted to the Facility Partners to manage on behalf of the client as owner.
Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for Facility Management services within assigned facilities and geography.
Prepare, submit and manage facility budgets with the clients’ goals and objectives addressed, track variances and ensure smooth recovery process.
Support prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements from 3rd party tenants occupying space with the accounts’ owned premises.
Responsible for overall team management, staff development and planning. Execute staff succession and growth plans.
Involved in compensation planning process.
For every direct report, build actionable and measurable career development plans; direct report in consistent conversations regarding progress.
Analyze operational data to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
Required Qualifications
8-10 years of experience leading Integrated Facilities Management teams/services.
Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze data.
Understanding commercial building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices.
Location: On‑site in Waukesha, WI
