School Speech Language Pathologist - Metairie, Louisiana A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services in a K‑12 school located in Metairie, LA, with a focus on elementary schools on the west bank. The contract extends through the current school year, starting as soon as possible and ending on 5/22/26. The role requires working onsite with a caseload of students ranging across the K‑12 spectrum, supporting speech and communication development in a school‑based setting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct speech‑language pathology evaluation and therapy to students within the school setting, following individualized education plans (IEPs).

Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective communication interventions.

Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessment results, and therapy plans in compliance with school policies.

Participate in meetings, consultations, and trainings related to student needs and program requirements.

Manage caseload effectively while adhering to the school calendar and designated work hours.

Qualifications And Experience

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.

ASHA certification (CCC‑SLP) preferred.

Experience working with school‑aged children, preferably at elementary levels.

Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.

Work Details

Location: Metairie, LA (onsite)

Schedule: Full‑time, 35 hours per week; typically 7 hours per day plus a 30‑minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday according to the school calendar.

Contract Duration: Current School Year through May 22, 2026.
