Rate Range:

$24.00 – $27.00 per hour with Benefits

Are you a hands‑on leader with a passion for managing food service operations and providing nutritious meals?

As the Dietary Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food service department, ensuring that high‑quality meals are prepared and served in compliance with safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food Service Management: Responsible for overseeing food service operations, including meal preparation, food handling, storage, and cleanliness, ensuring all procedures meet health and safety regulations.

Menu Planning: Assist in the preparation and implementation of monthly menus, ensuring they meet nutritional and dietary needs of residents.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure food service operations comply with all state, federal, and local regulations, including Department of Public Instruction (DPI) mandates.

Personnel Supervision: Supervise and evaluate food service staff, ensuring they adhere to safety, cleanliness, and service standards.

Kitchen Management: Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and food items; ensure compliance with health department guidelines.

Substitute Management: Arrange for substitutes and coverage when food service personnel are absent.

Food Procurement: Manage food purchasing, ensuring that necessary food commodities are ordered and delivered in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Staff Coordination: Coordinate the use of kitchen facilities and equipment by staff or outside groups for events or activities.

Training & Development: Provide training and support to food service staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining the quality of food and service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in food service management or a supervisory role in a healthcare or institutional setting.

Must be knowledgeable about diets, meal planning, and large‑quantity food preparation.

Must be able to perform physical work and stand for extended periods.

Positive attitude, energy, and a strong commitment to team collaboration are essential.

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.

Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health.
