JOB SUMMARY The Group Floater is a member of a multi‑disciplinary treatment team and is responsible for providing behavioral and emotional support to youth referred to the Group Services Department. The Group Floater coordinates and/or delivers client transportation, addresses basic client needs, provides behavioral and emotional support as needed, and maintains regular communication with parents/guardians and other providers. The Group Floater also assists other group staff in the preparation and execution of day‑treatment groups, IOP groups, BH Respite Groups, and other group services as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
License: N/A
Experience: Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company. Must be approved by Bellefaire to transport clients in agency and/or own vehicle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide therapeutic behavioral services and documentation, including but not limited to:
Support, including education and consultation for families regarding the client’s mental illness.
Case management.
Symptom monitoring and self‑management of symptoms.
Assistance in increasing social support skills and networks.
Referral and linkage to other healthcare, behavioral health care, and non‑health care services.
Access to resources in the community.
Skills building & reinforcement.
Complete all clinical documentation, including progress notes, appropriately and within departmental timelines.
Provide required amount of delivery hours per week as established by departmental guidelines.
Support other group staff in the setup and execution of day treatment, BH Respite, IOP, and/or other groups as assigned by the Group Services Supervisor.
Coordinate and/or execute client transportation to and from group programming.
Attend to the basic needs of clients in group, including food, water, and bathroom breaks.
Provide behavioral and emotional support to clients involved in group services.
Assist in overseeing client activities and ensure their whereabouts and safety on site during group time.
Engage in crisis intervention, problem resolution, and process discussions with clients as needed.
Maintain consistent contact with parents/guardians of clients to provide updates, skills education, and client advocacy.
Maintain positive relationships with community providers (e.g., Ohio Rise and schools) and provide regular communication, updates, and client advocacy.
OTHER DUTIES
Remain current with all training requirements.
Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
Keep all required trainings, certifications, and licensure current per licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
Respect client privacy and hold all treatment information in confidence. Handle client documents per Agency confidentiality guidelines.
Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by management.
