The team of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinics is excited to have a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join their mission of supporting children and their families! This role would assist the pediatric clinics at Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. Partner with us in our efforts to provide caring and effective therapeutic services to our visitors!

Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.

Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.

Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following required:

Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Speech-Language Pathology Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree preferred.

Additional Preferences

We are not accepting Clinical Fellows for this position

Experience evaluating infant feeding and swallowing disorders

Experience in infant feeding (dysphagia) preferred

Experience providing feeding recommendations, using thickeners, various bottles and nipples for breastfeeding or bottle feeding issues

Experience working with language disorders, phonological disorders, fluency disorders, and using AAC devices
