Corporate Associate | Structured and Specialty Finance | New York Our AmLaw 100 client is adding an associate to its New York structured and specialty finance practice. This is a well-established finance platform with consistent deal flow, sophisticated clients, and a reputation for handling complex secured transactions across asset classes.

This role sits within a lean, high-functioning finance group that works across balance sheet financings, structured products, and capital markets style transactions.

Role Summary You will advise borrowers and lenders on secured financings, with regular exposure to complex collateral structures and tailored credit products. Matters include receivables financings, asset-based loans, structured financings, and transactions involving less traditional asset classes. The work is document-heavy, negotiation-driven, and substantive.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, pledge agreements, and related collateral documents

Advising on secured balance sheet financings and structured credit transactions

Handling bond and note offerings, including indentures, note purchase agreements, and disclosure materials

Working directly with partners and clients on deal execution

Candidate Profile

JD class years 2018–2022

Prior experience in a finance practice at a peer law firm

Hands-on exposure to receivables, asset-based, and/or structured finance transactions

Comfort negotiating core finance documents rather than only ancillary materials

Experience representing borrowers, lenders, or both

Experience with esoteric asset classes is helpful but not required.

The compensation range for this role is $260,000 to $420,000, plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
