Job Details ChristianaCare’s Rehab Administration is hiring a Float Medical Office Assistant II. The role involves scheduling appointments with attention to insurance details, greeting patients professionally to collect demographic and financial information, and processing referral information while maintaining patient confidentiality. The position is primarily based at Springside, DE and may cross cover multiple locations from Smyrna, DE to Concord, PA per practice needs.
Work Schedule
Monday‑Friday: Day Shift
No weekends/holidays
Duties / Responsibilities
Schedule appointments with awareness of insurance, provider, and location for virtual and on‑site appointments
Greet and interact with patients professionally, virtually or on‑site, to collect required demographic and financial information; process/reverify referral information and insurance eligibility as needed
Collect payments according to insurance requirements
Verify insurance coverage and coordinate referrals
Perform day‑end reconciliation of appointments and payments received
Answer all phone calls in a professional manner and relay accurate messages
Alert providers of messages and respond to messages from provider(s)
Communicate with provider and staff through EMR
Keep patients up‑to‑date on issues until resolution can be accomplished
Facilitate testing, labs, appointments, etc for patients
Prepare medical records, including scanning and indexing tests, reports, etc into patient charts as needed

Education Requirements
High School Graduate or GED required.
2 years’ experience in a medical office practice setting is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred.
