Summary
– Oversees the bakery operation of the store to ensure that all budgeted financial objectives and departmental product quality and presentation standards are achieved to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that all corporate and state sanitation procedures and regulations are met. Supervises and directs the work of Bakery personnel within the department. Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all customers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure proper supervision of department staff, scheduling and staffing to satisfy business needs.
Ensure staff adhere to all Federal and State laws, and all corporate safety/sanitation policies.
Hire, train, develop all departmental staff; document performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions.
Ensure associates follow company dress code and exhibit C.H.O.P.S behaviors and 5S standards.
Monitor, control and achieve pre‑established financial results (Payroll, Sales, Gross Profit, CTO, Shrink, Inventory levels).
Appropriately merchandise department products in accordance with corporate planograms and special programs.
Maintain shelf and display conditions, stock levels, item rotation, and compliance with all corporate, Federal, and State signing policies and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Education And Experience
High School Degree or equivalent.
3+ years related experience.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
