Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization specializing in meat processing and USDA standards, is seeking a Plant Manager to join their team. As a Plant Manager, you will be part of the Operations department supporting plant leadership and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
What's the Job?
Lead and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met
Collaborate with department managers to plan and execute production schedules in compliance with USDA standards
Manage a team of approximately 200-250 employees, including direct supervision of four managers
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and data analysis to optimize efficiency
Ensure all safety protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements are strictly followed across the facility
What's Needed?
6-8 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably with USDA or meat processing background
Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing large teams
Proficiency in ERP, MRP, and data analysis tools such as Power BI
Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
