Job Summary The Building & Grounds employee is responsible for maintaining the exterior areas of the facility in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This role performs routine groundskeeping and janitorial duties, including trash removal and preventative maintenance, while supporting the maintenance department as needed. The position also ensures all outdoor areas comply with safety and cleanliness standards.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Ability to perform janitorial and groundskeeping duties.

Familiarity with and ability to safely use hand tools and power tools related to janitorial work.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment with internal employees and external contractors.

Ability to complete assigned tasks independently and follow instructions.

Valid driver’s license required.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in building maintenance, groundskeeping, or janitorial services.

Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities NOTE:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all exterior areas of the facility.

Collect and dispose of outside trash into the trash compactor.

Perform assigned preventative maintenance on building and grounds.

Assist maintenance staff with tasks as needed.

Detect and report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment The Building & Grounds position is performed in outdoor and shop environments. Employees are regularly exposed to hot and cold temperatures, wet conditions, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. This role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following all safety and food safety policies of the company.

Physical Demands Employees must be able to stand, walk, squat, stoop, climb ladders, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods. This role requires lifting and carrying objects up to 100 lbs., moving trash bags, and performing physical labor throughout the workday. Ability to work in hot and cold environments is required.
