The King's Lynn Community Nursing team are excited to advertise this upcoming vacancy within our friendly and supportive team based at St James Clinic.
The aim of our service is to provide evidence-based, outstanding nursing care to housebound patients in their usual place of residence. Our patient caseload includes people managing a variety of complex health conditions, and we aim to empower our patients to manage their health and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
We are looking for a dynamic, forward‑thinking registered nurse with communication, leadership, and organisational skills, which also includes supporting more junior members of staff with their own practice and development.
We can offer in‑role training and development with a well‑established team. The skill set for this role may not be part of your current portfolio, however we can offer support and leadership, and are keen to discuss the role with interested candidates.
Main duties of the job To contribute in the delivery of high standards of health care to patients within their own homes, care homes, the travelling community and in clinics, by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating packages of care. To facilitate/support newly Qualified Nurses in their Preceptorship year.

Job responsibilities Person Specification Qualifications
Assessor/mentorship preparation; ENB 998 or equivalent
Current NMC registration
Independent / supplementary prescribing qualification
Other
The post holder be required to work shifts, on call, flexible hours.
Good time management and reliability.
Must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Experience
Evidence of continuous professional development
Evidence of working at a relevant level within the community setting
To facilitate/develop Preceptorship Nurses
Management Experience
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of additional specialist areas through in‑house training & short courses
Highly motivated
Able to provide high standards of care
Good observational & reporting skills
Ability to manage stressful situations
Concentrate when undertaking patient care & inputting data/patient records
Good interpersonal skills
A team player
Work flexibly to accommodate patient/service needs
Be able to kneel, bend & stoop, and work in cramped environments
Be able to manoeuvre limbs of around 5-6 kg
Be able to manoeuvre patients using handling aids
Have basic IT/standard keyboard skills
Management Experience
Cannulation / IV Therapy administration
Communication
Tact & Diplomacy
Empathy & Sensitivity
Ability to use own initiative.
Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English Language
