Key Responsibilities
Receives inbound or selects outbound stock to fulfill store orders efficiently.
Relocates merchandise throughout the warehouse per product handling guidelines.
Sorts, organizes, and loads merchandise for shipment; unloads incoming shipments from trucks.
Performs general cleaning to meet warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
Participates in scheduled inventory counts.
Collaborates with peers, suppliers, and leadership through ongoing communication.
Provides input to management on process improvements.
Inspects product and consults on quality, safety, and sanitation.
Acts and decides independently within the delegated area of responsibility.
Assists management in achieving budgeted goals.
Performs all tasks accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policy.
Follows ergonomic program guidelines.
Operates equipment safely in line with safety guidelines.
Notifies management of product quality, safety, and sanitation concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Consistently demonstrates the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
Physical Requirements
Required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 lbs on pallets often.
Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking.
Work in varying temperatures, including outdoor and refrigerated/freezer environments.
Safe operation of powered industrial equipment.
