Job Summary The Spanish/English Employee Support Interpreter will provide accurate and timely translation and interpretation services to support manufacturing operations, ensuring clear communication between Spanish and English speaking employees, supervisors and management. This role is critical for promoting workplace safety, quality, and efficiency by bridging language gaps in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Listen to and translate spoken or written statements from Spanish to English or English to Spanish.
Translate work instructions between supervisors and employees.
Communicate with interpersonal skills.
Maintain accuracy in translation.
Pay close attention to detail.
Proficiently use software tools relevant to tasks.
Show self‑motivation and meet deadlines under pressure.
Relay tone and style of the original language.
Render spoken messages clearly, accurately, and quickly.
Concentrate while others are moving or speaking around them.
Show sensitivity to cultural expectations and differences among employees.
Listen carefully when interpreting for audiences to ensure proper understanding.
Desire to grow within manufacturing.
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of translation experience (preferred).
Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Strong understanding of grammar.
Experience in the manufacturing industry (preferred, but willing to train).
