Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Amazon Leo team is seeking an exceptionally bright, multitasking, and self-motivated individual to provide direct support to the Vice President of Business Development. This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside the company is important, as is a good sense of humor. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with minimal guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action with strong ambiguity and show grace under pressure.
Key job responsibilities include the ability to contribute to a global administrative support team, to think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and manage time effectively. This position may provide back-up to the lead EA to the VP of the organization on occasion. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life includes proactively coordinating and engaging with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities, and calendars. Management of complex calendar and scheduling requirements, tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items. Acting as a liaison for direct reports, driving key team activities such as staff meeting agendas, off-sites, and all-org meetings. Space planning, travel coordination and expense reimbursement, and management of special projects as needed. Have fun at work and help others do the same.
Basic qualifications include experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, and experience with C-level executive calendar management. Preferred qualifications include experience managing teams and experience working in a matrixed organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $88,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
