Our client is currently seeking a qualified

Field Service Technician

to support their team in Harrisonburg, VA. This role requires a self‑starter with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively while delivering high‑quality technical support. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently while maintaining accurate documentation and delivering timely resolutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Travel within a 25 to 100+ mile radius daily along a designated route

Support IT and data‑related issues, performing triage, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions

Troubleshoot hardware and software across various operating systems (Windows OS, macOS, Linux/Unix)

Install, diagnose, and repair POS systems, PCs, printers, thin clients, servers, and network switches

Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts

Work at heights of 20 to 25 ft when required (lift equipment training provided)

Perform copper and fiber cabling, including terminating connectors

Document all work performed, close tickets daily, and provide detailed notes and updates

Maintain excellent time management and complete tasks ahead of schedule when possible

Lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. as needed

Wage Range The rate for this position is between

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
