Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist with FAA in Washington, DC or at the WJHTC, Atlantic City, NJ. This position is responsible for supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) (AJW-B) to minimize the impact of cyber security events or incidents while ensuring availability and restoration requirements for ATO systems and services. The FAA runs a multi-faceted cybersecurity program to protect the NAS in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
Essential Functions
Provides expertise in compiling, arranging, storing, and retrieving information to facilitate support of FAA customers, projects, or programs.
Administers, evaluates, installs, maintains, and provides overall support for LANs and WANs.
Designs, tests, and implements interface programs, develops security procedures, regulates usage, and maintains VMware Virtual Production vSphere – ESXi 6.7 and development LAN environments. Works on hyperconverged infrastructure and VXRail solutions.
Completes schema exports required for test and development environments when refreshed per release development plans, disaster recovery/COOP tests, and environment upgrades (hardware changes, patches for UNIX, Oracle, Postgres, SQL, etc.). Monitors ports and collaborates
