Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and provide inspirational training to all employees. The Assistant Manager can advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months.

Responsibilities

Follow direction of the General Manager.

Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.

Perform all theatre job functions across departments.

Train and coach Team Members in specific job functions.

Assist in preparation of administrative and special reports.

Inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment.

Report repair needs to the General Manager.

Ensure Team Members follow the dress code.

Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer service.

Learn and enforce policies and procedures.

Report employee relations issues as required.

Maintain high work‑ethic standards and code of conduct.

Identify and sanitize employee and guest high‑contact areas.

Use personal protective equipment as needed.

Adapt to cleaning task requirements.

Address safety or security issues.

Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.

High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.

Completion of three basic courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.

Completion of basic food handling training and required local or state certification.

Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Regular and consistent attendance.

Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.

Excellent guest service skills.

Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.

Interpersonal and communication skills, including English fluency.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Ability to take and follow direction.

Sense of urgency.

Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Ability to train and lead others.

Conflict resolution skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.

Moderate to high noise levels at times.

Ability to stand for extended periods.
