Part-Time Assistant Manager
– Cinemark
Overview Join Cinemark as a Part‑Time Assistant Manager. This role involves supporting the overall theatre operation, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and providing inspirational training to all employees.
Responsibilities
Follow direction of the General Manager.
Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.
Work in all departments and fulfil all theatre job functions.
Train and coach team members in their specific job functions.
Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
Inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition.
Report building, property, and equipment repair needs.
Ensure team members follow the dress code.
Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer service.
Follow and enforce policies and procedures established in Cinemark’s Guidelines.
Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or Convercent in the GM’s absence.
Follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol and maintain high work‑ethic standards.
Consistently sanitise employee and guest high‑contact areas.
Use personal protective equipment for position‑specific tasks.
Adapt to the frequency and scope of cleaning tasks.
Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum age 18.
High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
Complete three basic courses in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain local or state certification where required.
Complete Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol.
Availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
Excellent guest service skills.
Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
Good communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to take and follow direction.
Sense of urgency.
Excellent time management, organisation, and attention to detail.
Ability to train and lead others.
Conflict resolution skills.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
Work may be at moderate to high noise level.
Must work in a standing position for extended periods.
