Residential Counselor (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities
Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic & talented Full‑time Residential Counselor. The facility treats children and adolescents ages 11‑18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors and chemical dependency related illnesses.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with all members of the residential and clinical treatment team.
Assist in ensuring that the resident program schedule and master treatment plan (MTP) are carried out as planned by the team.
Support nurses in the psychiatric and physical treatment and care of residents according to established methods and procedures of the facility.
Engage residents in therapeutic activities and events throughout the treatment day.
Maintain therapeutic boundaries with residents and support staff in maintaining those boundaries.
Assume a full‑time evening shift, 3 pm – 11:30 pm with rotating weekends, and one mandatory stay shift per week.

Qualifications
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred with minimum one year of direct care experience working with adolescents and children in a residential treatment or educational juvenile setting.
Valid SC driver’s license preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of therapeutic relationships, processes, adolescent growth and development, limit‑setting and behavior management.
