Abstract and code surgical procedures from CPT and crosswalk to ASA
Apply appropriate modifiers and code ICD10
Identify and assign care team providers while ensuring compliance with medical direction
Meet team KPIs, including daily production and quarterly coding audit scores
What is Required (Qualifications):
High school graduate or equivalent
5+ years of complex surgical coding and 4+ years of anesthesia coding experience
Current CPC certification required; CANPC certification is a plus
Experience with multiple EMRs and documentation types, including handwritten and electronic records
Excellent organizational and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
Intermediate Outlook skills
Ability to work independently and self-motivate on new projects
Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees
