Base pay range $15.00/hr - $17.00/hr
Job Summary The Client Transportation Specialist is responsible for safely and reliably transporting clients from their homes to medical appointments, therapy sessions, community activities, errands, or other approved destinations. This role supports the mission of our in‑home health care agency by ensuring clients maintain independence, access essential services, and travel in comfort and dignity. This position is on an as needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, punctual, and courteous transportation for clients to and from scheduled destinations.
Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle and/or their home, offering mobility support as needed.
Maintain a clean, well‑organized, and safe vehicle environment.
Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, and agency staff regarding schedules, delays, or concerns.
Follow established routes and schedules while remaining flexible to client needs.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and agency driving policies.
Document transportation activities, mileage, client interactions, and incident reports accurately.
Respect client confidentiality and uphold all HIPAA and agency privacy standards.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety issues, or client concerns promptly.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Valid auto insurance.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable work habits.
Friendly, patient, and professional communication skills.
Ability to assist clients with mobility, including wheelchairs or walkers.
Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities (preferred).
Must pass background and driving record checks.
