Accounting Clerk
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $20- $25/hr.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role supports core accounting functions and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy and organization.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain financial records and assist with month-end close
Prepare basic financial reports
Support payroll and tax documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues
Assist with audits and budgeting activities
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
12 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, AS400)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
