Forklift Material Handler
Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring Permanent Full-Time Forklift Operators and Material Handlers in Lansing, Michigan.
Job details:
Hourly Pay: $19.15 per hour
Overtime Pay: $28.72 per hour
Shift Premium: $1.00 for Second or Third Shift
Schedule: Second Shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm (overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed)

Products Being Handled: Automotive Parts. Equipment: Sit‑down forklift and Stand‑up tugger.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Team player within a diverse work environment
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual with good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Possesses a high degree of initiative
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work using health and safety methods
Flexible to work on various shifts
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production
Perform other duties as assigned
Additional background screening may be required for some positions, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or customer‑specific badging or background requirements.
