Position Time Status : Full-Time

Shift : Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hrs/week)

Physical Requirements : Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 lbs.; sitting for long periods; repetitive motion.

Job Summary

The Department of Toxicology & Cancer Biology is recruiting an Administrative Support Associate to assist and support the DTCB Business Office. This role will serve as the first point of contact for the Department (answering phones, fielding questions and other inquiries, etc.) and provide assistance to faculty as needed. The position will also manage graduate program administration, coordinate all department events and seminar series, process payment documents, make travel arrangements for official guests, and provide back‑up assistance for centralized ordering and other departmental functions.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact; answer phones and respond to inquiries.

Assist faculty with administrative tasks.

Administer graduate program activities.

Coordinate department events and seminars.

Process payment documents.

Arrange travel for official guests.

Provide backup support for centralized ordering and other functions.

Qualifications

Detail‑oriented with maturity and good judgment.

Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with flexibility.

Experience or familiarity with SAP (preferred).
