Maintenance Instrumentation/Electrical Technician
Location: Milton, WI
Base pay range:
$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance & repairs on all plant equipment. The Technician will work an 8.5-hour shift schedule, Monday - Friday, and participate in a rotating weekly “on call” duties with the maintenance staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
Use & track spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment utilized in repairs and maintenance.
Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas and others as needed.
Interface with CMMS computerized maintenance management systems for PMs, Work Orders, Inventory, and Purchasing.
Apply knowledge of pumps, valves, centrifuges, conveyors, rolling stock, plant air & hydraulics, and grain handling equipment.
Adhere to Plant Safety Programs including Safe Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot Works, and Line Break permits.
Follow company Personal Protection Equipment requirements including Head, eye, ear, hand, and Fall protection.
Complete all scheduled safety training requirements.
Contribute to plant maintenance outage schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum of a two-year degree from a technical/vocational school or equivalent training, or 3 years of work experience in a technical or related maintenance field.
Ability to work effectively with CMMS programs.
Background in welding, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
Proficiency with basic office software.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Regular exposure to working near moving mechanical parts.
Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions; ability to climb ladders and work in high, precarious places; and work in all outdoor weather conditions.
Potential exposure to high noise environments.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
