About the Program The Maintenance Apprentice participates in the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program (MAP), designed to develop Maintenance Technicians through formal classroom training and on‑the‑job experience. Apprentices learn how to perform preventative maintenance, rebuild industrial machinery, and troubleshoot all manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions
Shadow and learn from Operators, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, and Senior Maintenance Technicians.
Perform scheduled PMs on machinery as needed.
Assist with maintenance projects and machine rebuilds.
Assist with downed equipment repair during production shifts as required.
Research and document using a computer.
Work safely and follow written procedures.
Respect company rules, staff, and peers.
Maintain punctuality based on assigned schedule.
Attend OEM trainings and apply learnings upon return to the plant.
Perform on‑demand maintenance and repair of equipment in the manufacturing facility.
Complete daily responsibilities assigned by direct supervisor.
Explain and demonstrate accomplishment of learning objectives for each activity in theory and practice.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years experience in maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment.
Experience may include a combination of work experience and/or vocational technician education.
Travel: 30% of travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years experience in maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment.
Ability to understand and do math, geometry, and measurement using a ruler and caliper.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Physical capability to stand, sit, squat or reach up to 12 hours per day as required.
Excellent attendance, teamwork, and pride in performance.
Comfortable with computer keyboard and basic computer skills.
