Job Description: We are seeking an energetic leader to oversee multiple eye care practices in the Kansas City area.

The Practice Administrator/Director will be a role model for staff, and a collaborator with the physicians, to ensure the delivery of exemplary patient care. The Practice Administrator /Director is responsible for leading the daily clinical and operational functions of the ophthalmology medical practice; establishing and maintaining clinical standards of care; managing staff and resources; facilitating and maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations; and creating a culture of teamwork and respect. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating the schedule templates, staffing levels, and workflow to maximize patient access, accelerate revenue generation and facilitate growth opportunities. Managing the revenue cycle management processes to ensure timely and accurate patient insurance verifications and pre-collections, and accurate and expedient coding, billing, and collections with payors. Establishing quality assurance and performance improvement measures to support the delivery of exemplary patient care as well as ongoing staff development. Managing administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures. Encouraging and role models cross-functional problem-solving to improve the quality of services and productivity. Working effectively with peers, physicians, managers, employees, and others.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business Management with healthcare experience. Five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience in the ophthalmic industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear/concise delivery. Ability to exercise sound judgment, determine priorities, and manage time of self and others. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to patient health information (PHI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of multi-site practice management Certified Ophthalmology Practice Administrator preferred. Proven experience in developing and delivering against annual financial and operational plans. Expert level proficiency with Microsoft software including an ability to effectively work in Excel.
