As a Starbucks Barista, you will be the face of our company, creating the "Starbucks Experience" for customers by providing legendary customer service and expertly crafting delicious, high-quality beverages and food products. Responsibilities
Customer service: Connect with and serve all customers with warmth and a "customer-comes-first" attitude.
Beverage preparation: Master the Starbucks menu to prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, tea, and other drinks according to all recipe and quality standards.
Order accuracy: Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Store maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and customer seating areas.
Stocking and inventory: Restock ingredients, cups, lids, and other supplies as needed throughout the shift.
Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with the store team to support operations and manage workflow, especially during peak business hours.
Product knowledge: Continually expand your knowledge of coffee and tea products to provide customers with informed recommendations.
Safety and security: Follow all company operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and food safety standards.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is a plus, but not required. Starbucks provides comprehensive training.
Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interacting with customers and coworkers.
Multitasking: Must be capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently while staying composed in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 25 pounds.
