Job Description OU Passport provides an important service to the community by accepting and initiating all necessary paperwork to request a current passport. Student Assistants should be 18 years or older and able to provide excellent customer service to a variety of community members. Student Assistants may be required to open/close OU Passport with little to no supervision.

This position's hours are typically Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with some hours potentially available Monday‑Friday between 8am‑5pm. Schedule is approximately 15 hours/week. Student Assistants work in OU Passport, located in the Oklahoma Memorial Union, and are responsible for administrative tasks in the office.

Responsibilities

Operating standard office equipment

General clerical duties

Maintaining exceptionally precise filing systems and records

Verifying and submitting via US Postal Service all pertinent passport application documents in accordance with federal processes and guidelines

Answering guest questions regarding passports

Answering phone calls

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position

Must be 18 years or older

Must be a current student enrolled in the Spring semester at the University of Oklahoma (verification of current student status required)

Must have the ability to engage in repetitive motions, grasp objects, reach above head, stand, speak, see (color, depth, clarity), hear, and lift 15–44 pounds

Must have the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision
