Job Description: Teacher of the Visually Impaired
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to work with students in K-12th grades and beyond, helping them achieve their full potential! You will provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments on an individual and group basis.
As a TVI with Manifest Academy LLC, you will have the flexibility to choose your own work schedule. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a rewarding field, and you will have a supportive manager who can provide a letter of recommendation for your future career endeavors. You will be responsible for creating and delivering instructional plans tailored to the unique needs of each student, maintaining your own schedule on our calendar, and submitting detailed session reports. We are looking to hire teachers in San Antonio, TX, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students in a non-classroom setting.
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ specific needs and goals.
Collaborate with students, parents, and other educators to establish academic goals and milestones.
Document and communicate student progress through detailed reports.
Offer constructive feedback and strategies to enhance student learning.
Maintain an updated calendar and submit session reports promptly.
Ensure consistent scheduling and attendance for all sessions.
Qualifications
Previous experience in teaching, specifically with visually impaired students, or related fields.
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with students and their families.
Proficient knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive teaching strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation for in-person sessions.
Flexibility to work during late afternoons and evenings.
Willingness to travel up to 15 miles. Travel reimbursement may be offered for extended travel.
Experience with virtual teaching platforms.
Must have a computer with a webcam and internet access for virtual sessions.
Willingness to attend events and provide additional support when necessary.
