Additional time will be dependent on performance, continuation of funding, and mutual agreement.**Purpose**The Postdoctoral Fellow reports to Jie Li, Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy to investigate natural products biological activities, chemistry, or biosynthesis for drug discovery.**Responsibilities*** Biological evaluations of natural products for drug discovery* Microbial genome mining for specialized metabolites discovery from human microbiota* Manuscript preparation for scientific publication* Generate data and participate in scientific writing to contribute to grant applications* Additional duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications*** PhD (received within 3 years) with a research background in natural products discovery or biological evaluations.* Proficiency in analyzing microbial genomic or metabolomic data.* Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific research and report in the form of original research publications.**Preferred Qualifications*** PhD and at least one year of experience with bioassays.* Prior experience in biological evaluations with animal models, as well as strong verbal and writing communication skills.**Salary Range**·
