Position:

Part Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper

Location:

City of Hope Medical Center, Glendale, CA

Schedule:

Mid‑Shift Part Time, 10am to 7:30pm, Monday‑Friday

Hourly Pay:

$21.00

Job Overview The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers work in various client locations and keep facilities in a clean and orderly condition. These responsibilities may vary by account and client requirements.

Daily Responsibilities

Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.

Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.

Dusts furniture and equipment.

Polishes metalwork.

Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.

Empties wastebasket and transports trash and waste to the disposal area.

Replenishes bathroom supplies.

Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Job Qualifications

Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 as a condition of employment.

Experience in the janitorial industry a plus.

Medical cleaning a plus.

Post‑offer medical, background screening, and drug test required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.

Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles and occasional exposure to work near moving mechanical parts. Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
