await!**Job Description:**The Technician I – Manufacturing (SMT Operator) plays a key role in operating and supporting machinery used in the assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). You'll work with a team to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.**Key Responsibilities:*** Operate automated manufacturing equipment such as solder paste printers, reflow ovens, inspection tools, and other machinery used in the SMT process.* Set up machines, load basic programs, and perform routine maintenance to keep production running smoothly.* Monitor production flow and perform basic inspections to ensure quality standards are met.* Assist in identifying and resolving simple equipment or process issues with guidance from senior technicians or engineers.* Follow written instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures to support accurate component placement and assembly.* Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.* Work closely with team members to improve efficiency and processes over time.* Follow all company safety and quality policies.**Requirements/Qualifications:****Experience / Education:*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical environment preferred, but not required.* Technical training, mechanical coursework, or related hands-on experience is a plus.* No prior experience in electronics manufacturing required training will be provided for candidates with the right aptitude.**Requirements / Qualifications:*** Basic mechanical or machine operation aptitude (comfortable working with tools or machinery).* Willingness to learn technical processes and follow detailed instructions.* Good hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail.* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.* Basic computer skills.* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.**Schedule:*** 3:30pm-12am, Monday-Friday**Benefits:***To reflect and honor how essential our team is, Microchip offers the following benefits:** 2 weeks of Vacation AND 2 weeks of Personal* 10 Paid Holidays* Quarterly Bonuses* Restricted Stock Units & Employee Stock Purchase Plans* Medical, Dental, Vision, and Legal Benefits on Day 1* 401k & Company Match* Tuition Reimbursement* Onsite Fitness RoomU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
