Multi-office Law Firm is seeking a legal assistant to support our HOA department located in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, NC.
We are a growing law firm looking for someone interested in an entry level position that wants to learn on the job. The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, helpful, self-motivated, and highly organized. You will be the “face” of our office as you greet clients and visitors and interact with employees. While the main focus of the front desk is to greet and help all incoming guests and maintain a clean lobby and conference rooms, it also includes office administrative duties such as:
Opening the office
Backup to the main switchboard
Sorting and delivering internal mail
Preparing outgoing mail
Ordering office supplies
Scheduling repairs of office equipment
Greeting all real estate clients and copying drivers licenses or other identification for all persons signing documents at closings
Scanning documents to client files
General assistance for all attorneys and staff in the office
Filing documents at local courthouse and delivering/picking up documents from client and attorney offices as needed
Event planning for the office
Conflict checks
Real estate title research (to be trained)
Minor cleaning of the kitchen to supplement after hours service
Qualifications
Enjoys interacting with people
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Dependable transportation (mileage reimbursement)
Notary a plus or willing to take the class
At least one year of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant - law firm experience a plus
