Qualifications
Hold a valid and current Missouri Teaching Certificate in the appropriate subject area or provide a written plan for obtaining certification.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education and eligibility for certification through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
Special Education certification in one or more of the following areas is required:
Blind & Low Vision
Deaf & Hard of Hearing
Early Childhood Special Education
Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical (includes former LD/BD/ED/EMH areas)
Severely Developmentally Disabled
Certification: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification.
Experience (Preferred): Minimum of three years teaching students with disabilities.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of a background check satisfactory to the Board of Education
Knowledge of special education laws and processes
Strong organizational, time-management, oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with computers, assistive technology, and instructional software
Ability to understand and support the District’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan

About Reeds Spring Middle School Reeds Spring Middle School serves approximately 250 students in grades 7–8 and employs around 45 staff members. Our modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility features collaborative classroom spaces designed to support innovative instruction.
Reeds Spring School District is located 30 minutes south of Springfield near beautiful Table Rock Lake and serves the communities of Reeds Spring, Branson West, Kimberling City, Cape Fair, and Indian Point. The district offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a
