Job Summary
Position:
Part‑time Dishwasher
Location:
Blair Academy, 2 Park Street, Blairstown, New Jersey 07825
Schedule:
Part‑time; days, nights and weekends may vary. Night and weekend shifts required.
Pay:
$17.50 per hour (fixed rate) with perks: meals, PTO, uniforms provided.
Requirements:
Prior dish‑washing experience preferred. Willing to train. Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. Online applications accepted only.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or conveyors for the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, following assigned equipment and procedures; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by the provided standards.
Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food‑prep surfaces.
Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Help load and unload supplies and product.
Perform other duties as assigned.
