Responsibilities
Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring items are not damaged.
Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
Assist customers in loading bags into their car and removing merchandise from bascarts.
Perform basic shelf conditioning, return merchandise to shelves, and gather bascarts.
Clean spills, pick up trash, and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and conduct price checks for cashiers.
Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and identify unsafe conditions.
Adhere to all food safety regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Qualifications
Customer service skills.
Effective communication skills.
Retail experience preferred.
