Theatrical Lighting Technician - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Seasonal

Responsibilities
Perform primary technician duties as assigned, making calculated decisions to complete tasks in a timely manner for the Entertainment Department.
Provide ongoing maintenance to entertainment system infrastructures, including themed outdoor lighting, festival icons, atmospheric sound systems, and show sets.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair entertainment lighting control systems, static lighting fixtures, moving‑head fixtures, professional sound systems, video projection systems, DMX infrastructure, and DMX‑controlled fixtures.
Set up and troubleshoot networking infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and diagnose common line‑voltage problems and submit repair requests as necessary.
Perform routine maintenance of entertainment equipment to meet high safety standards.
Utilize heavy machinery for installation and transportation of entertainment equipment.
Provide technical support to all Dollywood Parks & Resorts venues as needed.
Share knowledge and best use cases with other technical team members.
Wear Dollywood Entertainment provided costume or uniform.
Assist in other areas of the Entertainment Division as directed.
Maintain an orderly, neat, safe, and well‑maintained workspace.
Drive company vehicles—including cars, vans, and trucks—to transport personnel and supplies.
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.
Education and Experience
Minimum 18 years of age.
High school diploma required.
Experience with entertainment and/or architectural lighting fixtures.
Knowledge of entertainment and/or architectural lighting control infrastructure and control systems.
Preferred knowledge of installation, operation and repair of modern moving‑light fixtures.
Preferred experience programming lighting control software and show control systems such as Paradigm, Mosaic, and Hog.
Preferred experience in stage set construction or general construction.
Preferred experience and working knowledge of electricity.
Preferred experience with industry‑specific software such as VectorWorks, QLab, QSys, and Dante.
Must be able to operate a computer and be knowledgeable of general use programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
Must successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
Driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 120 lbs with assistance.
Work extended hours in dim‑light conditions.
Work on various surfaces, including walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, crawling, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and moving in tight spaces.
Manual dexterity for operating hand tools and power tools (e.g., air compressors, generators, saws, drills, impacts, wrenches, screwdrivers, shovels).
Work at heights up to and exceeding 90 ft.
Endure approved exposure levels to chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, lubricants, and atmospheric effect solutions.
Assist with any entertainment special projects as needed—including set/prop builds, themed decor, events and concerts, and entertainment water‑based applications.
