Description
We are seeking a motivated Audio-Visual (AV) Systems Engineer to join our team! This role is ideal for an AV engineer who is eager to develop advanced technical skills while supporting and optimizing conference room system technologies. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining AV solutions, collaborating with senior engineers, and driving continuous improvement in system performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, a commitment to engineering excellence, and a passion for delivering outstanding service to our users.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite engineering support for conference room AV systems, including video conferencing equipment, displays, and audio systems
Troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues, applying engineering principles and escalating when necessary
Maintain and update equipment inventory, technical documentation, and system schematics
Perform preventive maintenance and system diagnostics on AV equipment
Deliver technical training and support to end users, including guidance on AV system operation and best practices
Collaborate with senior AV engineers on system design, integration projects, and break-fix service calls with third-party AV integrators
Monitor system performance remotely, analyze data, and recommend engineering solutions for optimization
Participate in engineering team meetings, technical workshops, and ongoing training to expand expertise
Maintain organized workspaces and equipment storage areas, adhering to engineering standards
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or related field), Information Technology, or other relevant technical discipline
Solid understanding of audio-visual systems, components, and signal flow, with an emphasis on engineering design and integration
Familiarity with Windows 10 & 11 operating systems and enterprise desktop applications (Microsoft 365, Edge, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, etc.)
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP vs. static addresses, VLANs, etc.) and AV-over-IP technologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and engineering skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
Desired Skills
Experience with enterprise video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, etc.)
Experience with digital control systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.) and AV system programming
Interest in pursuing AV and/or IT industry certifications (AVIXA CTS, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft 365 Certifications, etc.)
Previous experience in technical support or engineering roles
Exposure to any of the following:
Microsoft Teams Rooms (Windows and/or Android) hardware products
Microsoft Teams Admin Center
Microsoft Teams Pro Management Portal
Crestron Remote Client or XPanel applications
Crestron Device Administration web GUIs
Q‑SYS UCI Viewer and/or Designer
ServiceNow
Delinea Secret Server or other web-based credential manager
SharePoint site document library

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00/hr.
