The Men’s Baseball Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in planning, managing, coordinating, operating, and evaluating the Men’s Baseball program at the College. Reporting to the Head Coach, this position ensures competitive success, academic achievement of student-athletes, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with NJCAA regulations.
This is a part-time position.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Help the Head Coach ensure student‑athlete compliance with NJCAA rules and resolve cases of regulation violations.
Inform student‑athletes of academic and enrollment matters.
Recruit, advise, and sign student‑athletes for team participation.
Coordinate, plan, and direct athletic skill development in preparation for competition.
Ensure appropriate safety measures during team activities.
Attend all team practices and home and away contests.
Scout and prepare for future opponents.
Collect, summarize, and analyze player and team statistics to make data‑driven decisions.
Develop positive relationships with coaches, businesses, and community leaders to provide opportunities for students.
Work within budgetary guidelines and seek third‑party funding for the team.
Collaborate with Marketing, Campus Life, alumni, student groups, and community groups for events.
Perform other duties supporting the mission of the College.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or Associate Degree.
Minimum of three years of combined playing and/or coaching experience, preferably in a college setting.
Self‑starter with initiative, commitment, and dedication; excellent human‑relations skills and collaborative leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of combined playing and/or coaching experience, preferably in a college setting.
Possession of a CDL, or willingness to obtain a CDL.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to sit, stand, run, walk; use hands for handling or feeling objects.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 20+ pounds.
Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision; ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Mostly outdoors.
Low noise level.
