Responsibilities An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, making sure passengers get to their destination in an efficient, safe, and seamless manner.
What You’ll Do
Goes above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience that is guided by the SP+ Promise, including answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each customer interaction is a positive experience.
Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to carry on duty at all times.
Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to garage office.
Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks and freeways for seamless customer service.
Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items at airport locations.
Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications What you need
Education / Experience Required:
Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Requirement:
A valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement, per DOT regulations.
DOT Medical Card:
A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
Availability to Work:
Special shift requirements may vary; availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
Language Skills:
Read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information to customers and employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Perform basic arithmetic operations and calculations with American money.
Appearance:
Maintain a neat and clean appearance, be in uniform at all times.
Physical Demands:
Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment, occasionally sit, climb or balance; lift or move up to 75 pounds.
Salary Range $21.10 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
