Responsibilities An SP+ Shuttle Driver (DOT) is responsible for the safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers efficiently, safely, and seamlessly.
What You’ll Do
Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring every interaction is positive.
Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, refuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license with you at all times while on duty.
Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other incidents to the garage office.
Substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary, if authorized.
Have a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to assist customers.
Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
Support the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License: Maintain a valid CDL Class A, B, or C driver’s license with passenger endorsement as required by DOT regulations.
Medical: Provide a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
Availability: Ability to work special shift requirements, including third shift and/or weekends, as needed.
Language: Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence; present information effectively in one‑on‑one situations.
Mathematical: Perform basic arithmetic with units of American currency.
Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance, or move up to 75 pounds.
Salary Range $21.10 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
